Winter workshop

I had a good time at the studios of Key West https://tskw.org/ sponsored by the Key West watercolor society--their  annual winter workshop.  Richard Stevens Richard Stevens, from Arkansas gave a fun program for four days.  He called it "Fast and Loose."   And he did a great job getting us all to practice loosening up.  Two of the paintings I started there are showing in the 31st Skylands show this spring at the Sussex County Arts and Heritage gallery.

The first is a local scene, A horse barn in Stillwater.

The second is a Kew West street scene--St John's Episcopal Church on Duval Street.

One of the Richard's teaching tools was to do a triptych, representing differing views of one scene.  Back in Jersey I decided to do a triptych of one of my favorite restaurants.   I tried to be loose, but not too fast.
